Support the Daily News

The Daily News is a non-profit, community supported news organization. Just like NPR and your favorite public television station, we depend on donations from people like you to run our newsroom.

As traditional news organizations cut back on local coverage, Chicago residents get less and less information every day about their city. The Daily News produces vibrant, insightful, locally focused news coverage that reflects the rich diversity of Chicago's neighborhoods.

This year, our annual campaign will provide money to open news bureaus on the city's South and West sides, hire staff reporters to cover key beats like housing, the environment and local politics, and bring you exciting video features on Chicago's cultural life. We're raising $250,000 during 2008 to make that happen.

Your donation will help us bring you even more distinctive Chicago stories in 2008. And we've got some great swag to send your way if you join us as a supporter.
