Jewelry and office supplies valued at more than $33,000 were stolen from an Andersonville basement apartment Friday, police said.

Two roommates who live in the apartment, in the 5400 block of North Ashland, returned home at about 10 p.m. Friday to discover that a back door had been forced open and two  bedrooms had been ransacked sometime after 7:45 p.m., police said.
